14 December 2017, Police and criminal justice
The complainant requested copies of transcripts of police interviews conducted with the late Greville Janner (Lord Janner of Braunstone). Leicestershire Police withheld this information under the exemptions provided by sections 30(1)(a), (b) and (c) (information held for the purposes of an investigation), 31 (law enforcement), 38 (health and safety) and 40(2) (personal information) of the FOIA. Having considered its application of section 30(1)(a), the Commissioner’s decision is that Leicestershire Police was entitled to rely on that section to withhold the requested information.
FOI 30: Not upheld
