Teignbridge District Council

The complainant has requested information from Teignbridge District Council regarding complaints of fraud, intimidation and failure to investigate named staff properly. Teignbridge District Council did not comply with the request, citing section 14(1) (Vexatious requests) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that Teignbridge District Council has applied section 14(1) appropriately. However, she considers that it has breached sections 10(1) (Time for compliance) and 17 (Refusal of a request) of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require Teignbridge District Council to take any steps as a result of this decision. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2020/0091 under appeal.
