Department for the Economy (NI)

The complainant has requested information relating to application for petroleum licences. The Department for the Economy (Northern Ireland) (“the Department”) refused to disclose the information, citing regulations 12(5)(d), 12(5)(e) and 13 of the EIR as a basis for non-disclosure. 1. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Department has correctly applied regulations 12(5)(d) and 13 to the requested information. She has therefore not considered its application of regulation 12(5)(e). 2. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
