Metropolitan Police Service

The complainant has requested a copy of a report from the Metropolitan Police Service (the “MPS”). The MPS refused to disclose the report citing sections 23(1) (Information supplied by, or relating to, bodies dealing with security matters), 27(1) (International relations), 24(1) (National security), 30(1) (Investigations and proceedings) and 40(2) (Personal information) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the MPS was entitled to rely on section 23 of FOIA to refuse the request. The Commissioner requires no steps as a result of this decision.
