Metropolitan Police Service

The complainant requested from the Metropolitan Police Service (“the MPS”) information regarding a misconduct outcome. The MPS provided some information to the complainant but refused further information to the request by virtue of section 40(2) (personal information) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the MPS is entitled to rely on section 40(2) of FOIA to withhold the requested information. Therefore, the Commissioner does not require the MPS to take any steps as a result of this decision.

FOI 40(2): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 142206
