Home Office

The complainant requested information about electronic passport gates (eGates) at Heathrow Airport. The Home Office refused the request under section 31(1)(e) of FOIA (the law enforcement exemption). The Commissioner’s decision is that section 31(1)(e) is engaged and that the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner does not require any further steps in response to this decision notice.

FOI 31: Complaint not upheld
