The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 110(5) of the Telecommunications Act 1984, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Telecommunications Act 1984 (Appointed Day) (No. 1) Order 1984.
2. Sections 1, 108 and 110 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Telecommunications Act 1984 shall come into force on 18th June 1984.

This Order brings into force on 18th June 1984-
(a) Section 1 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Telecommunications Act 1984 (which relate to the Director General of the Telecommunications);
(b) Section 108 of that Act (Extension to The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands); and
(c) Section 110 of that Act (Short title, commencement and extent).
