1. The length of the Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2. In this Order:-
(i)"the deposited plan"
means the plan numbered HA1O/2WM marked "The (A452) London -Holyhead Trunk Road (De-Trunking from Streetly to Erdington) Order 1987" signed by Authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham St., London SW1 3PY.
"principal road" as a classification for a highway means
that the highway is a principal road for the purpose of enactments and instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads and is also classified for the purpose of every other enactment, and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State.
"the Trunk Road"
means the (A452) London to Holyhead Trunk Road.
3. This Order shall come into force on 27th March 1987 and may be cited as the (A452) London - Holyhead Trunk Road (De-Trunking from Streetly to Erdington) Order 1987.

The length of the Trunk Road ceasing to be a trunk road is that length of the Trunk Road in the City of Birmingham which extends from the centre point of the roundabout at its junction with the A4041 Queslett Road East to a point 5 metres south-east of its junction with Green Lanes, a distance of approximately 5.0 kilometres measured along that length of road.
