The Immobilisation of Vehicles Illegally Parked (London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) Order 1989

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 106(1), (5) and (9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other enabling powers, having been requested by the council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in accordance with section 106(7) and (8)(a)(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:-�

1. This Order may be cited as the Immobilisation of Vehicles Illegally Parked (London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 24th October 1989.

2. The area of Greater London within the outer edge of the boundary delineated in red on the plan in the Schedule to this Order is hereby specified as an area to which sections 104 (immobilisation of vehicles illegally parked) and 105 (exemptions from section 104) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 extend.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

By this Order, sections 104 (immobilisation of vehicles illegally parked) and 105 (exemptions from section 104) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 are extended to a large part of the area of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, namely that within the boundary delineated in red on the plan in the Schedule to the Order.

Section106(8)(a) was amended by paragraph 33(a) of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 (c. 51).
