Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 of the Inshore Fishing (Scotland) Act 1984(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf and having consulted such bodies as he considers appropriate, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Inshore Fishing (Birch Point, Firth of Clyde) (Prohibition of Fishing) Order 1990 and shall come into force at 23.59 hours on Friday 20th July 1990.
2.-(1) The fishing for sea fish by any method of fishing is prohibited within the Scottish inshore waters in the Firth of Clyde described in paragraph (2) below during the period commencing at 23.59 hours on Friday 20th July 1990 and ending at 00.01 hours on Monday 6th August 1990.
(2) The waters referred to in paragraph (1) above comprise the area of sea within a radius of 2 nautical miles of the point in the Firth of Clyde whose co-ordinates are 55° 37' 00" north latitude and 4° 59' 37" west longitude, which point lies off Birch Point, Isle of Arran.

This Order prohibits all fishing for sea fish in waters within a radius of 2 nautical miles of a point in the Firth of Clyde, off Birch Point, Isle of Arran, described in article 2(2) of the Order. The prohibition applies from 23.59 hours on Friday 20th July 1990 until 00.01 hours on Monday 6th August 1990.
