REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE

The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 3(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1991(1), hereby make the following Order:-�
1. This Order may be cited as the Representation of the People Act 1991 (Commencement) Order 1991.
2. The Representation of the People Act 1991 shall come into force on 22nd July 1991.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings the Representation of the People Act 1991 which amends section 29 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 (c. 2) into force on 22nd July 1991. Section 29 makes provision for the expenses of Returning Officers at Parliamentary and other elections.
