The Vehicles (Charges for Release from Immobilisation Devices) Regulations 1992

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by sections 104(4) and 142(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), I hereby make the following Regulations:

1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Vehicles (Charges for Release from Immobilisation Devices) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st April 1992.

(2) The Vehicles (Charges for Release from Immobilisation Devices) Regulations 1991(2) are hereby revoked.

2. For the purposes of section 104(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the charge in respect of the release of a vehicle from an immobilisation device shall be £38.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Section 104 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 provides for a charge to be prescribed for the release of an illegally parked vehicle from an immobilisation device affixed to it in accordance with the section. By virtue of the Vehicles (Charges for Release from Immobilisation Devices) Regulations 1991 (S.I. 1991/338) the prescribed charge is £32. These Regulations revoke the 1991 Regulations and prescribe a new charge of £38.
