Whereas the councils of the London boroughs of Camden, Hackney and Hounslow have each applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1) amending an order made by him under that section, and the Secretary of State has consulted the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with section 76(2) of that Act:
NOW, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) and section 77(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Camden, Hackney and Hounslow) (Amendment) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 17th June 1994.
2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,"the principal Order" means the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Camden, Hackney and Hounslow) Order 1993(2);
"the 1984 Act" and "the 1991 Act" have the same meanings as in the principal Order; and a reference to a Schedule followed by a number is a reference to the Schedule to this Order bearing that number. Amendment of the principal Order.
3.-(1) The principal Order shall have effect as if-
(a)the areas referred to in Schedule 1 were included in the special parking area designated by article 3(1)(a) of the principal Order;
(b)the areas referred to in Schedule 2 were included in the special parking area designated by article 3(1)(b) of the principal Order; and
(c)the areas referred to in Schedule 3 were included in the special parking area designated by article 3(1)(c) of the principal Order.
(2) The following paragraph shall be added to Part II of Schedule 1 to the principal Order:-
"So much of Regent's Park as lies within the London borough of Camden."
(3) Article 4 (modification of the 1984 Act) and article 5 (modification of the 1991 Act) of the principal Order shall apply in relation to the areas referred to in Schedules 1, 2 and 3 as they apply to the special parking areas designated by article 3 of that Order, so that references in article 4 or 5 to a special parking area shall be taken to include an area referred to in Schedule 1, 2 or 3 to this Order.

Article 3(1)(a)
1. The areas transferred from the London borough of Haringey to the London borough of Camden and referred to in article 5 of the North London Boroughs (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(3).
2. The areas transferred from the London borough of Barnet to the London borough of Camden and referred to in the table to article 3(1) of the Barnet, Camden and Westminster (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(4).
3. The areas transferred from the City of London to the London borough of Camden and referred to in article 3(1) of the City and London Borough Boundaries Order 1993(5).
Article 3(1)(b)
1. The areas transferred from the London borough of Waltham Forest to the London borough of Hackney and referred to in the table to article 6(2) of the Essex and Greater London (County and London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(6).
2. The areas transferred from the London borough of Tower Hamlets to the London borough of Hackney and referred to in article 4 of the Hackney and Tower Hamlets (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(7).
3. The areas transferred from the London borough of Haringey to the London borough of Hackney and referred to in article 3(2) of the Hackney, Haringey and Islington (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(8).
Article 3(1)(c)
1. The areas transferred from the London borough of Ealing to the London borough of Hounslow and referred to in the table to article 4(1) of the Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(9).
2. The areas transferred from the county of Surrey and the district of Spelthorne to the London borough of Hounslow and referred to in the table to article 3(2) of the Greater London and Surrey (County and London Borough Boundaries) (No.4) Order 1993(10).
(This note is not part of the Order)
The Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Camden, Hackney and Hounslow) Order 1993 ("the principal Order") designated the whole of the London boroughs of Camden, Hackney and Hounslow (excluding certain specified roads) as special parking areas for the purposes of Part II of the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also made consequential modifications to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and to Part II of the 1991 Act. This Order amends the principal Order by adding to the special parking areas designated by it the areas referred to in Schedules 1, 2 and 3, which are areas which were transferred to the respective London boroughs in pursuance of local government boundary changes, and by excluding Regent's Park from the special parking area in Camden. The consequential modifications in the principal Order of the 1984 and 1991 Acts are applied to the areas added to the special parking areas.
