The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 166 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted the councils of the County of Avon and the City of Bristol, hereby makes the following Order-
1. This Order may be cited as the Bristol Development Corporation (Dissolution) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st January 1996.
2. The Bristol Development Corporation shall be dissolved on 1st April 1996.

By virtue of section 166(3) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980, on the coming into force of this Order the Bristol Development Corporation will cease to act except for the purpose of preparing its final accounts and report and winding up its affairs. The corporation will be dissolved on 1st April 1996.
