PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION OF TERRORISM

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 16(3) of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989 (Designated Ports) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 22nd November 1999.
2. There shall be inserted in Part I of Schedule 6 to the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989, at the appropriate places in alphabetical order-�
(a)under the heading "Seaports", the words "Campbeltown", "Southampton", "Torquay" and "Troon"; and
(b)under the heading "Airports", the words "Sheffield City".

This Order adds Campbeltown, Southampton, Torquay and Troon Seaports, and Sheffield City Airport, to the list of ports designated, for the purposes of paragraph 8 of Schedule 5 to the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989, in Part I of Schedule 6 to that Act.
