MERCHANT SHIPPING

The Merchant Shipping (Revocation) (Bermuda) Order 2002

  Made 17th December 2002 
  Coming into force in accordance with Article 1 

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 17th day of December 2002

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 4(1)(a) and 4(3) of the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act 1971[1] and sections 128(1), 141(1), 147(3) and 315(2) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995[2] and all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Revocation) (Bermuda) Order 2002 and shall come into force on such date as the Governor of Bermuda may appoint by proclamation published in the Gazette of Bermuda.

     2. The following Orders are hereby revoked -

This Order revokes Orders applying certain United Kingdom merchant shipping legislation to Bermuda, upon its replacement by local legislation enacted in Bermuda.
