CIVIL PARTNERSHIP, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) (No. 2) Order 2005

  Made 14th November 2005 
  Laid before Parliament 14th November 2005 
  Coming into force 5th December 2005 

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 34(1) and 36(4) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004[1] makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation
     1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) (No. 2) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 5th December 2005.

    (2) In this Order—

Fees payable
    
2. In respect of the matters set out in the first column of the Schedule to this Order, the fee specified in the second column shall be payable to the person specified in the third column.

(a) when application is made at the time of the formation of the civil partnership;

     6. On giving notice to a registration authority under the Civil Partnership (Registration Abroad and Certificates) Order 2005, article 17(2) (certificate of no impediment)[2].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order specifies, in relation to obtaining copies of entries in the register of civil partnerships and to obtaining a certificate of no impediment to the registration of an overseas relationship, the amount of the fees to be paid and who they are to be paid to.

This Order does not impose a charge on business.
