The Equality Act 2006 (Termination of Appointments) Order 2007

  Made 7th September 2007 

The Secretary of State makes this Order in discharge of the duty imposed by section 41(6) of the Equality Act 2006[1].

Citation
     1. This Order may be cited as the Equality Act 2006 (Termination of Appointments) Order 2007.

Termination of Appointments of Transition Commissioners
    
2. The appointments of the Transition Commissioners[2] shall terminate on 30th September 2009.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order provides for the appointments of the Transition Commissioners (persons appointed to the Commission for Equality and Human Rights under section 41(3) of the Equality Act 2006) to terminate on 30th September 2009. This provision gives effect to section 41(6) of the Equality Act 2006.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
