The Secretary of State is satisfied that a harbour revision order ought to be made for the purpose of achieving, in relation to the Port of London Authority, the objects mentioned in section 15(1) of the Harbours Act 1964 ("the Act")(1).
The Secretary of State, being the appropriate minister under section 15(3) of the Act and being satisfied as mentioned in section 14(2)(b) of the Act, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(1) of that Act.
1. This Order may be cited as the Port of London Authority (Constitution) Harbour Revision Order 2015 and comes into force on 31st December 2015.
2. Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Port of London Act 1968(2) is amended as follows-
(a)omit paragraph 7; and
(b)omit paragraph 10.

This Order amends the Port of London Act 1968 (c.xxxii) ("the Act").
Paragraph 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Act prevents a person aged 64 or over from being appointed a member of the Port Authority. Paragraph 10 requires a member of the Port Authority to retire at the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 70. Both these provisions will be repealed by the Order.
A full Impact Assessment has not been produced for this instrument because it has no impact on the costs of business, charities or voluntary bodies.
1964 c.40. Section 15 of the Act was amended by section 40 of and Part 2 of Schedule 12 to the Transport Act 1981(c.56).
1968 c.xxxii. Part 1 of Schedule 2 was substituted by the Schedule to the Port of London Authority (Constitution) Revision Order 1975 (S.I. 1975/1890). There are other amendments to Part 1 of Schedule 2 but none is relevant.
