The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 88(1) of the Serious Crime Act 2015(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Serious Crime Act 2015 (Commencement No. 6) Regulations 2017.
2. Section 67 (sexual communication with a child) of the Serious Crime Act 2015 comes into force on 3rd April 2017.

These Regulations are the sixth commencement regulations made by the Secretary of State under section 88(1) of the Serious Crime Act 2015 (c. 9). Regulation 2 commences section 67 of that Act, which inserts a new section 15A into the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (c. 42) containing the offence of sexual communication with a child.

The following provisions of the Serious Crime Act 2015 (c. 9) have been brought into force by commencement regulations made before the date of these Regulations:
