The Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022 (Commencement) Regulations 2024

at 4.45 p.m. on 22nd May 2024

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022( 1).

Citation and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022 (Commencement) Regulations 2024.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Commencement

2.—(1) Sections 2 and 10 of the Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022 come into force on 22nd May 2024.

(2) The remaining provisions of the Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022 come into force on 31st July 2024.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations bring into force the Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022 (c.26)(“ the Act”).

Regulation 2(1) brings into force section 2 (glue trap licences) and section 10 (extent, commencement and short title) of the Act, which include regulation making powers, on 22nd May 2024.

Regulation 2(2) brings all remaining provisions of the Act, including provisions establishing new offences in England, into force on 31st July 2024.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
