ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS

1 Short title and collective citation.

2 Amendment of section 55 of Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959.

3 Repeal of section 63 of Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959.

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 55 of THE FISHERIES (CONSOLIDATION) ACT, 1959 , AND TO REPEAL SECTION 63 OF THAT ACT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:—

1.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1964 .

(2) The Fisheries Acts, 1959 and 1962, and this Act may be cited together as the Fisheries Acts, 1959 to 1964.

2.— Section 55 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 , is hereby amended by—

( a ) the deletion of "to which this section applies" in subsections (1) and (3),

( b ) the deletion of "commencing before 1st day of April, 1965," in subsection (6) and the deletion of "commencing before the 1st day of April, 1965," in subsection (7), and

( c ) the deletion of subsection (8).

3.— Section 63 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 , is hereby repealed.
