I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 111 of the Finance Act 2003 ( No. 3 of 2003 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This order may be cited as the Finance Act 2003 (Section 111) (Commencement) Order 2003. 2. The 1st day of May 2003 is appointed as the day on which section 111 of the Finance Act 2003 ( No. 3 of 2003 ) comes into operation. |

This order appoints the 1st day of May 2003 as the date for coming into operation of section 111(1) of the Finance Act 2003 . |
||||||||
As a consequence, |
||||||||
1. The Revenue Commissioners may only raise estimates and assessments in respect of betting duty for 4 years. |
||||||||
2. Specific time limits apply to the raising of estimates and assessments on the personal representatives of deceased persons. |
