I, BRIAN COWEN, Minister for Foreign Affairs, in the exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Arrest Warrant Act 2003 ( No. 45 of 2003 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the European Arrest Warrant Act 2003 (Designated Member States) (No. 5) Order 2004. 2. The Member States specified in the Schedule to this Order are designated for the purposes of the European Arrest Warrant Act 2003 (No. 45 of 2003). |

The effect of the Order is to designate, for the purposes of the enabling Act, those EU Member States that have, under their respective national laws, given effect to the Council Framework Decision of 13 June 2002 on the European arrest warrant and the surrender procedures between Member States since the making of the European Arrest Warrant Act 2003 (Designated Member States) (No. 4) Order 2004 ( S.I. No. 400 of 2004 ) of 24 June 2004. |
