Grants for stimulating or assisting industrial development. 4.(1) The Ministry may make to any person specified in an order made, subject to affirmative resolution, by the Ministry with the approval of the Ministry of Finance, grants of such amount and on such terms and conditions (including conditions for repayment) as the Ministry may consider proper, for the purpose of enabling that person to stimulate or assist industrial enterprise, the development of industry or the provision of employment. (2) If the Ministry is satisfied that a person to whom it has made a grant under subsection (1) is unable to fulfil any written contract entered into, or written offer or written undertaking made, by him for the purpose mentioned in that subsection, the Ministry may make such arrangements as it considers expedient for the purpose of safeguarding the interests of any person who has entered into a written contract with the first-mentioned person or has incurred liabilities in pursuance of a written undertaking or written offer made by him. (3) In subsection (1) "industry" includes business, trade or service. S.5 rep. by 1976 NI 10 art.15(2)
